The finished product also makes the most luxurious gift container for someone really special. It is, also, a perfectly useful little shoulder bag to wear to the opera or the beverage room.

Diamond patterned Beaded Bracelet.
A charming button-up bracelet which makes an excellent introduction to the delights of beaded knitting. It requires minimal materials, time, and finishing. The beads are slid between stitches on a garter stitch fabric. The bracelet may be lengthened to form a choker or belt.
Size: adjustable.
Yarn: 2 grams DMC Cotton Perle.
Beads: 2 strings of #10 seed beads (586 beads).
Level: easy/intermediate.

Cape Spear Blanket
The ultimate comforter! Delectably cozy and, through the use of a basic two-colour-per-row double-knitting technique, absolutely beautiful on both sides. Although this is a large project, once the colour pattern is established, it cruises along quite speedily without the need to constantly refer to the chart.
Size: 96 x 137 cms / 38 x 54 inches.
Yarn: Shelridge Farm W4 (machine-washable merino, worsted weight) in 15 colours.
Techniques: Stocking stitch double-knitting with negative/positive patterning, optional tubular cast-on and bind-off (directions are given in detail).

Ashanti Wallhanging and cushion covers
This blanket or wallhanging was inspired by traditional woven Ashanti fabrics. The knitting is copious but easy; the finishing stages, involving multiple steeks and mattress stitch, are more demanding. A cushion makes an ideal test swatch for the wallhanging.
Size: Approx. 2'10" by 4'4" for the wallhanging, 16" square for the cushion cover.
Yarn: Fingering weight Shelridge Ultra, or 2-ply shetland.

Andean Vest Recipe - written due to demand from a few manic hardcore knitters (who refused to leave me in peace!). Contains a color detail sheet, 11 x 17 charts, details of the original, along with the measurement information in order to construct your own vest from first principles. Very challenging!
